JON-J understand that to remain competitive in an ever changing global marketplace requires the steady influx of new talent. By sponsoring scholarship programs, we are able to encourage and develop the next generation of employees and executives who will lead their companies to greater successes,   It is the duty of our dedicated Scholarship Committee to determine the most outstanding individuals to receive these awards.  The goal is to continue increasing the number of scholarships awarded each year and to support the grantee during their academic tenure by providing book Scholarships.
JON- J  does not provide financial aid to individuals, only scholarships through this process.

Eligibility requirements are listed below: 

JON-J  gives scholarships annually. Eligibility requirements are listed below:

  • Applicants must be of Jamaican / heritage and a resident of Central New Jersey to be eligible to apply for a scholarship
  • Applicants must be high schools senior attending their first year of college
  • Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA to qualify
  • Applicants must complete scholarship application with certified copy of school transcript by deadline to qualify
  • Scholarship application deadline is Saturday, April 20, 2021.
  • Scholarships will be presented at annual Spring Fundraiser event on Saturday, Auguest  1, 2021.
  • Scholarship recipients must maintain a 3.0 GPA.

Meet Our Past Scholarship  Recipients/Winners of 2019

Joy Edwards:

In the Fall of 2019 Joy will pursue a degree in environmental engineering at Pennsylvania State University. Her decision was primarily based on the outstanding engineering program at Penn State along with the career-building opportunities that are offered in environmental science.

Aaron Stultz:

Aaron now hopes to pursue his passion at Stevens to further his goal oj having a successful career as  a mechanical engineer through higher education. Aaron wants to be in a field where he can solve problems and make the world a better place through mechanical designs.

Yannah – Gail Litchmore:   

Yannah-Gaile, will be attending NJIY with a major in Chemical Engineering. Her goal is to help to create a safer, healthier and better environment from which we will all benefit.
